S - "The bridegroom was a long time in coming and they all became drowsy and fell asleep" Matthew 25:5
O - Oh how easy it seems for us Christians to lose our passion, our fervour for Jesus! I was with my sister-in-law this weekend and she was reflecting on her life and the Christians she has known who have "become drowsy" or even, "fallen asleep" (not meaning death). Many, no longer attend church because of conflict with people that has never been resolved. Others just got distracted or too busy. Oh what a warning, a caution, from Jesus, to never get drowsy in our walk, or fall asleep.
A - I know there are times when Jesus and the Christian life seems demanding and the "easier" path of distractions and other priorities crowd in. But I must always keep my faith and fervour alive by focusing my life on Christ and maintaining a love for His Word.
P - Heavenly Father help me to always keep you as a priority in my life. I love you dearly. Amen.
